surgery coming, can't shake this cold

I have surgery coming up in a couple of weeks and I CANNOT shake this cold I have. I don't feel that bad, but I have a really stuffy nose and my throat is sorer than normal. I just finished a z-pack (round of antibiotics) last night and I feel like this thing is moving to my chest. I'm going to call the doc tomorrow and get another round. I'm normally not a big anti-biotic person, but this blech needs to go away! And I don't need anything on top of it.

I got another round of antibiotics. Threw one up this morning. The instructions said to take it on an empty stomach and I did. Well, that didn't work!

Sorry notsosickly. I have two ostomies right now. My original from my colon removal. Then I had some issues and ended up with a resection and extremely damaged intestines. The put in a stoma above the damage so waste would be diverted away from the healing portion.

I'm getting that second stoma put back in because the rest of my intestines have healed.

Chronielass - Thanks for the suggestion. My doc told me to also try saline spray with aloe. It's a nose mist. Apparently bacteria that inhabit people don't like living in saline. So the spray goes up and the aloe helps it stay in. Don't know for sure, but I'm game!
