post proctectomy and parastomal hernia repair

Hi,

I'm 6 days post op a proctectomy and parastomal hernia repair. came home yesterday. last night i was having trouble peeing; it would take approx 15 mins and only a little would come out. same thing has been happening today.with now lower back pain. iI;ve been pushing fluids because I noticed I was dehydrated. That seems to be helping but still not normal.

My surgeon said to go to the ER to have a bladder scan and check for infection. berfore I head there I just want to see if anyoine else has had this experience.

oh yeah and Im not having much output from my ileostomy.
