I am PJ and new to the forum.....sorta. I found you not long after my colostomy, registered and then somehow managed to lose you. I am very glad to have found you again and sorry I lost you before, as I had many questions. I did find another site which helped although not nearly as active as this. Questions were most offen just answered by the moderator. Now just a short bio on my ostomy....had a pain in my side for 3 days, went to my Gp who sent me immediately to the hospital for testing. I had Diverticulitis (unknown to anyone), a ruptured small bowel and peritoniits. Woke up with colostomy which is suppose to be temporary but due to other health issues have not been able to have it done, and not even sure I really want to. Thanks for being here and I look foreward to meeting all of you.

Hi! Glad you found your way back! I have had my colostomy since Jan. I have mixed feelings about a reversal also. I think for the time being I will leave well enough alone.

As much as I disliked the whole colostomy bit at the beginning, life has gotten so much better. I am working now and went back to school. (I'm 44) I was the old lady in the class but that's ok. IT was fun!

I hope things are getting better for you health wise. I'm avoiding the medical profession myself! I don't want to be touched or poked. Once a month for my cade is enough! lol
