Please let me know why my husband's ostomy keeps irritating and sore within 3 days of changing the flange.He is having it from January and I that do the changing. I try my best to keep the necessary space and not too much or too little. But all the same the problem exists.

what type of products are you using? I'd call the manufacture and tell them that you are having problems and maybe they can send you some FREE samples of other products that they make. They can also give you some advice to help with the irritation.

Sorry to hear that you and your husband are having a hard time with his ostomy.

Do you have access to a stoma nurse? There could be a lot of reasons why he's having irritation, from output coming in contact with his skin, to yeast to an allergy to the adhesive in the wafer. It's impossible to know unless someone sees it.

Thanks all for the replies. Shall check it out this week and see about the yeast infection you mentioned.
