Had a call from the Hospital today. All being well (this is the NHS after all!) my takedown will be done on October 8th.

My 4 year takedown anniversary is October 8th. My takedown recovery went very smooth....wishing the same for you. Best of luck!! :)

I'm 2.5 weeks post takedown and it's no walk in the park but thing slowly seem to get better. Hang in there you're almost done! Good luck.

Thankyou all for the kind thoughts. I will keep everyone posted on my recovery after. I know it's not going to be easy and will need time and patience, but hopefully it will all work out for the better.
