I had surgery on June 10th and have found the bag that works for me is a convex moldable that is a 2 pcs. I do not have leakage which is good news but I am beginning to have a burning sensation around the top part (where the tape is). It seems as if it I nerve damage because it is not red. It burns from time to time (for hours on end sometimes) and sometimes it can be made a little better by pressing on the plastic part that the bag snaps on (mainly burns at the top twelve o'clock position--if that makes sense). I am at my wits end and need help. I am starting Chemo for six months soon and would love to find some relief. thanks in advance for any advice.

I had the same issue! My surgery was 6/20. I started getting a burning sensation to the left of my wafer....not under it, well into my recovery. My skin looked fine, no redness at all but boy did it hurt...sometimes so bad that I had difficulty standing up straight. It was weird because I knew it wasn't internal. And when I took off my wafer...it was much better, even though the wafer wasn't touching the area. I told my surgeon and he thought it was probably nerve regeneration. Several weeks later....all gone! Not a trace of that pain! I hope yours passes too! It also helped when I rubbed some lotion on it that Coloplast sent me.
Good luck!

Martin, it was a coloplast skin lotion in a pink tube. They had sent it to me when I was complaining about
some itching around the wafer. Can you try putting on some neosporin cream with pain relief when you do a bag change? Have you told your doctor about
this? As long as you're sure it's a skin issue, and not internal, it sounds just like what I had.
I hope you're feeling a little better!
