Generally speaking not a terrible experience. My side effects were relatively mild. Some nausea controlled well with Zorfram, I did have some cramping a few times toward the end of the treatment that was pretty unpleasant, but for the most part I was able to function normally. My biggest side effect occurred about 6 months after treatment and involves peripheral neuropathy in my feet. Not pain but numbness, still have this and it is some worse as the years go by but does not restrict my activity. Dehydration was an issue with my loop ileo but not related to the chemo. I found the electrolyte enhanced waters helped. I didn’t have any restrictions on food or drink, was not allowed any vitamins or supplements. These drugs have different effects on different people, so one person's experience can be very different from another’s. Good luck
