I had my colectomy in March 2007. I went to the GI doctor and had a colonoscopy done because when they did the fecal test there was blood found in the stool. They didn't find the source of the blood during the colonoscopy. Anyway, in my follow-up visit the doctor said "you have insufficient blood flow at the connection site," but not to worry as I didn't need a revision at this time.
Has anyone else had this said to them and when did you do a follow up colonoscopy to see if the insufficient blood flow had gotten any worse and did a revision? It has been about 6 months since I was told this.
I hope everyone else who has had a colectomy is doing great.
