Hi BB, I'm far from expert but I think a lot of very knowledgable folks would say the pain from your surgery should be gone by now. Some discomfort, slight cramping might be OK during movements but pain is a different concern. I suggest you post again and entitle it something more specific to what you're experiencing like "Pain 2-1/2 months after surgery". Youi'll get good advice.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but I have extremely hyper sensitive skin on my abdomen and around my stoma. It is driving me crazy. My last surgery was in June and consisted of a hernia repair with mesh.

I had an illeostomy as opposed to a colostomy, so my experience might be a little different.

What kind of pain are you having exactly? Is it pain on the skin from stool coming into contact with it, or pain at the stoma site/incision area as stool comes out?

Unfortunately many of us may describe "Pain" differently so the more specific you can be in describing the TYPE of pain and anything about the timing IE: just after eating, or all the time etc. the more replies you might get. I am assuming it is not a BURNING pain as this is often caused when there are gaps where the wafer seals around the stoma and the output touches the bare skin causing that severe burning?
