Hi,
I have had my permanent ileostomy for a little over 3 months now. I've got appliance changes down pat and haven't really had any major issues to speak of yet, although I am sure I will some day.
I am frequently away from washrooms during the day and have a question abut unplanned appliance changes. I carry a pack that has wafers, Eakins, bags, ziplocs, tissue, etc. what I don't have is anything to clean the skin under the wafer if I have a leak. I am wondering what the best thing would be to do this? I don't want to carry a water bottle around for it due to size/weight. I was thinking baby wipes but I've heard they have oils that will cause wafer adhesion problems.
Is there any cleaning product available to clean the skin in case of a leak, something in a small pack or pouch would be great if they exist.
Thanks,
Chris
