NCOT~ Exactly why are you trying to challenge any opinion that is not the same as yours? Everyone has their preferences for a wide variety of reasons...none of them are right or wrong. Nobody is saying you, or anyone else who prefers a 1 piece is wrong...we are all simply stating our own opinions and preferences. No need to be so defensive.
'Cos people here have a tendency to sell the 2-piece like pharma reps try to sell the latest wonder drug to doctors.
They're bags, not the key to a better life. I prefer the 1-piece, but up until now I have rarely even proferred an opinion about
it, let alone evangelise about
the superiority of it.
And finally, for whatever it's worth, the 2-piece is the older piece of technology. It's all that used to be available for ostomates. My stoma nurse told me about
that one: she pointed it out when I asked about
trying a 2-piece and seemed almost surprised that I had asked.

As for how to properly dispose of human waste in the wild, there are MANY reasons why it should not just be left any old place. Anyone who does a lot of hiking, backpacking, climbing etc...and cares about and respects the environment and other people who come along, know and understand that. There is plenty of info out there about this topic, if anyone is interested.
And you haven't managed to give me a single one of those MANY reasons.
We're not living in 17th century London, m8, where hundreds of thousands of Londoners basically drank and bathed in the same river that they also used as their toilet, i.e. the river Thames. London nowadays has an advanced sewerage system. My puny bit of output underneath a rock in the middle of nowhere is not going to make the streets of London run with filthy, brown water.
That did actually happen in one street of London a year or so ago. That was caused by a blockage in the sewer, a blockage which comprised a humungous lump of sanitary towels, solidified fats, etc. Or at least that's what the media told us. Bet they didn't mention the scumbag who went in a bush while walking their dog on Wimbledon common, or wherever.
