mucous :(

This is going to sound a bit gross and I'm sorry :( but back when I still suffered from having really bad UC, a lot of mucous would come out when I would have BMs, but in my case, that mucous would come out of my vagina and not from my bum. It was like not a small amount of discharge but a lot! That's stopped after the surgery but just a few minutes ago that day, I went to use the restroom and strained a bit and the same thing happend where a lot of mucous came out of my vagina instead of my bum :(

Does this mean there's inflammation going on in my pouch? I did have a blood test done about a week ago and my CRP was really low like at 0.06 and my WBC was also very normal.

According to my surgeons, there is almost close to nothing left of my rectal cuff because they cut out as much as possible due to my cancer.

Does anybody else have this? What could it be? Inflammation in my pouch?

Penny, about a month post op, I started bleeding out my vagina! This, after 20 yrs past menopause. I went to my gyn, had myriads of tests performed, transvaginal ultrasounds, MRI's, etc. NOTHING. Went back to my colorectal surgeon and it was his belief that it was from the surgery, but, he told me it must be coming out the anus because even though he took my rectum and colon, he did leave the opening of the anus. Hey, I know my anus from my vagina and this blood is coming from the vagina!! . Long story short, it has been five years since my operation and I still have issues. The UC returned into the anus, I am having my second round of biopsies on Sept 17th...first round was last Nov and everything checked out fine. I still have mucus and blood, occasionally, not all the time, come out my vagina. This new surgeon (mine retired in 2013) told me I have strictures inside and the UC is even in the vagina!!!!! OY. He doesn't recommend surgery to close the anus just yet. There was no dysplasia or cancer. He also looked for a fistula, which I really thought was the culprit, and couldn't find one. He said surgery would be pretty hard on me at this time. I'm not getting any younger. I was 69 on the 12th of August. Otherwise, I have pretty good health.
