possible partial blockage?

It's good that you are seeing the surgeon today, you are doing everything correctly by not eating and only drinking hot tea.

When I first started to get my abscess it was a minimal fever that was intermittent. The pain would come and go too; it was hard to dx at first because it didn't even show up on the CT Scan the first time. 4 days later it showed up on the 2nd CT Scan. If you are still on antibiotics then I'd be surprised if it was an abscess.

I ended up with a partial kink one time, there was pain near the stoma, slight fever and my stoma only put out liquids and made lots of noise. They told me that this can sometimes happen with a loop ileo, they put a catheter(painless) in my stoma and it fixed my kink.

If you really think there is something going on then you might want to call the surgeon's office and see if they can get you in for a CT Scan before you see the surgeon so they have the results for your 2:45 appointment.

lets add more crap to my list of issues. I was going to take myself to the ER, my nurse called my surgeons office and told them, my surgeon said to go to the hospital and he submitted orders for an outpatient cat scan. Now prior to going in, I had 12oz of gatorade at 6am and about 8oz of hot tea at 9am. When I left at 12:30, I emptied what little was in my bag. At this point, I felt so sick it wasn't even funny. Nausea had kicked in, I was getting gas pain, the right side pain was getting unbearable and I felt like I was going to pass out. Just before they took me back, I felt my bag as I was getting into the wheelchair and it was filled to capacity. More liquid than I drank all day and my bag was completely empty when I arrived at the hospital. Part of me feels that was some obstruction breaking free. They gave me IV fluids, Zofran for nausea and I had to drink the Contrast for the CT Scan, blah! This is what the scan showed, my abscess is still collecting fluid and the small leak that it has at the bottom is leaking into my abdominal cavity. It's also collecting in the old fistula tunnel they discovered during my drain xrays. Also, part of my small bowel is swollen and narrowing which I'm sure had to do with blocking transit of my food. I still feel sick but not as bad since my bag filled. I also filled two full bags of contrast output to. I'm to call my surgeon in the morning and let him know how I feel. I could potentially be admitted and some surgical intervention could be needed but at this point he wants to see how I feel. Sheesh

That's great news. I am so happy you're feeling better. I can't believe how much you have been through in such a short amount of time.

Are you still on antibiotics?

I always have to battle Thrush/Candida since I'm on continuous antibiotics for pouchitis. I would think that if you are off antibiotics then it would go away on it's own.

Craving and white tongue would definitely be Thrush.

Diflucan helps me but doesn't fully get rid of the Thrush. I have cut out most carbs but what really helped me was taking Florastor, since I started taking Florastor I haven't needed to be on Diflucan since.

I never had a fever when I had Thrush.
