I'm not sure how old you are, but do you plan on having children? 50% of people have fertility issues from the surgery. It causes damage to your delicate Fallopian tubes. You may want to consider remicade or humira before you jump to surgery. It's immunotherapy that is directed at TNFalpha only. It's not chemo-it doesn't damage healthy tissue. It's actually quite safe, you can even have a baby and breastfeed while on it. For some people it gives complete symptom-free remission. I understand not wanting to be on a roller coaster ride if medications (I've been there), but that's not the way it is for everyone. I had zero side effects from remicade.
