I was off all pain meds in that timeframe personally, so being in that type of pain after 2 weeks, to me, is a bit of a worry. At the same time, it's very easy to have a suture or something below the skin that is trying to come up. Those can cause redness, swelling and pain. I had one after closure at my stoma site. It hurt and felt very tender to the touch, but nothing I needed pain pills for... Long story short, I called my doctor and he said to keep heat on it. A day later, it drained in the shower (gross I know), but after that, it felt fine and healed up great. Use your best judgement, if you're really in a lot of pain, go get seen. It can't hurt to be overly cautious.
