Badbaggirl,
I used to do all the machines at Bally's and had a good abdomen. I was down to 89 pounds when real sick for a year with UC. But after the operation I got so depressed over my big belly, I ate my way up to 160! And now I do have a huge bulge at 4' 10"....I am more depressed over it now.
I am training to walk a 1/2 Marathon in January to get my cardio in, but I know the biggest exercise is not eating the wrong foods!
To much making up for not getting to eat much & so so sick.
Don't worry so much about
the bulge or it can get bigger? I guess I'm worried I'll loose it all and still look fat? Depressing... Have to loose to do the J-pouch!!! Laura Beth

I've read a lot of the posts that talk about the changes in out stomachs after their ostomies. I am small, (4'11 88 lbs) but like some of you have a poochy tummy that never was there before surgery. I used to be a scrunch junkie and did 'em everyday but my ET nurse said they were a no no because a hernia is more likely to develop. Interesting to know what every one else's take is on this one and is there a safe exercise for the tummy? It's rough enough having this big bag bulge but don't like my fabby tummy!
