I wouldn't go with super tight hose (like Sheer Energy) but regular hose will work just fine. I actually kinda like hose b/c I feel like it holds the bag in place.

I've worn regular pantyhose (even those that make your tummy look trimmer) a lot without a problem

Some women prefer maternity panty hose - that way you have some 'give' in the tummy area and it's not quite so tight around there.

Anyone familiar with "Not Just Another Panty" by Hanes? I choose to wear those on a daily basis to keep things in place and have worn them for years. Most times, I wear a size larger than what they are made for just for that comfort snugness. They also muffle noises well too.

I used to wear regular panty hose without any problems, but now wear only thigh highs when I need to for my own comfort issues. Again a size larger may work just as well for you.

I'd trial test the thigh highs for sure. Some brands stay up better than others. Ya don't want to wear hose that fall to your ankles when you take a few steps!!!

You don't have to wear a garter belt.  They make thigh highs that have "grippers" on the top.

well i gotta tell ya'll this cause it's just craziness! the party is this saturday. And last week i went and boought a strapless bra for my dress, well when i put it on with the dress, it was not a pretty picture! it was rather obscene! so i went and got another dress which was a little better, but i still didnt' like it. So sat night i got on the computer and ordered 5 more dresses, 800.00 worth! i am gonna send some back thought, lol. Well since i ordered so many at such an odd time, and my husband was in Utah our credit card company flagged it as suspicious activity and declined one of the orders. so i found that out on sunday, and replaced the order, the dresses were supposed to ship in one day, well i look the next day and it shows that the one i really want will nto ship until 12-28! so, tuesday i went with some family to a mall near here that has some fancy stores and bought yet another dress. if you are keeping count, i now have in my posseision three dresses and five on the way. When i got hom that day one had come, and three more came today so i now have 6 dresses at my house and one on the way!
but i do like two of the dresses that i have, so that's good, lol.

You are so funny! It really hurts me to laugh right now but the fact you have 6 dresses and 1 more on the way. That's too funny. I know its not a funny situation for you and you are stressing but it seems like something is bound to work for you between the 7 overall dresses :) And I would recommend thigh highs. No garter needed and they have like a clear rubber lining around the thigh area that just hugs your leg and that is waht makes them stay up. You can get them at any Wal-mart although I would buy a good brand like Sheer Energy of Hanes they seem to hold up better. GOOD LUCK and I really do want to see the final outcome.

peggy, did you mean to say, summer quit stressing? if you did, you are not the only one i am driving my family crazy, i actually want to go tomorrow to this place about 50 miles away and look for more!
i cut the top off a pair of hose, and am gonna wear that, to help hold in my fat tummy, and keep the bag flat, and to keep my panty line from showing. two of my dresses are a little above the knee, one of themis floor length (i am not keepign it, makes me look like i am going to a funeral!) and the others are just below my knee. I will post pics, i think i have decided. If my aunt can fix it to where my cookies don't show everytime i bend over!

lol it's ok, i do have shoes, and have not stressed about them at all! however i did buy 90.00 worth of stuff for my hair beofre i picked something out and also this is a great one. I was lookign for a bra, and i was in victorias secret and i put one over my arm and went to see if there was a sign at the front that stuff was on sale, and i had some other stuff in my arm. Well there weren't any signs so i left. Well it wasn't until a little later when i went to pay at jcpenneys that i realzied i hadn't put the bra back at victorias secret! so i had to run back and give it to them, and they apoligized to me for it not haveing a securtiy tag! this whole thing has been one debacle ofter another!

For six months leading up to my step-daughter's wedding, I was also obsessed with finding a dress! I knew that she would be looking at these pictures for the rest of her life, so I wanted to look good. I couldn't find anything in the local stores, so I ordered all of the dresses online. None of them fit well, so I would return them and try again.

Two weeks before the wedding, I finally found one that I liked. Then, I had to find the right shoes and jewelry to go along with it. It WAS stressful, so I can relate to what you've been going through. I hope you have everything picked out now, since the event is tomorrow night! Have a blast...you're going to look great!
