I have just seen a colorectal surgeon., one of the best in Salt Lake.  He waid that my stoma is not really prolapsed very much.  The humongous bulge is a hernia located under the stoma.  He assured that there is practically no chance of strangulation and absolutely no need for surgery/  I guess we will head home tomorrow, but my wife insists we stop at Pepperidge Farms and get some cookies and at Gossner Cheese for some cheese and stabalized whipping cream.  Who am I to argue especialy about the cookies..  Thanks to you all for your support

That is the power of prayer! I am so glad that you are not going to have to undergo surgery. So, what are you going to do about the hernia? Did you get to see Temple Square while you were in Salt Lake? My husband and I wanted to walk the area when we lived in Utah but we never got a chance and then we had to move suddenly. I was only in Salt Lake once and it was to fly into Utah's airport.

That's great news, I'm so happy for you. Your problem now is that fitting an appliance around your stoma hasn't been addressed. Let us know how that goes.

Thanks to all of you for your support.  I am so relieved  I would like to be at the chat tonight, but we are going out to dinner withhim and his wifel.  He is a nurse in the ER at one /SAlt Lake Hospitals.  He was just named as outstanding employee of the month He live in Salt Lake but we don't get to see him all of that oftn.  My daughter is now in New Yorik attending an american writer's conference.  She teaches English and Drama in Elko

High School. 

Amey we didn't get to Temple Square this time, but I was married to my first wife in the Temp;le there, and also to my second wife there.  Been there and doe that.

Judy  I can still squeeze it in and I am not popping open so much now  I think it will be ok

That is wonderful! My husband and I were sealed in the Orlando Temple...I would have loved to have gone out to Salt Lake but then our family would not have been able to attend.

I hope you enjoy your dinner! I am very excited that things are looking up for you.
