I have some Hollister supplies (not a lot, but enough) that I would like to pass on to anyone who can use them.  Please let me know.

We should start a thread where we can give away the appliances we can no longer use. I have boxes of pre-cut, 3/4", Convatec, durahesive, convex wafers from before my last surgery and want to find a good home for them also.

I also got a lot of pouch samples from Convatec with filters that I won't even attempt to try if anyone's interested.

I have 13 ea of the #3724 wafer and 20 ea of #3804 pouch. Someone asked me if they were new or used!!!!!!!

I am not trying to distract you from your king gesture of giving your bags away. I just wanted to add my 2-cent about selling them on ebay. I had several Convatec Durahesive Moldable wafers and bags. However, I am allergic to Convatec products so I sold the lot on ebay. The whole lot was probably worth about $300 retail and they sold for $25 on ebay. My insurance company covers my supplies so I did not lose any more on them. It worked out great for my buyer who did not have any insurance and was recently given an ileostomy due to cancer.

You might want to donate your unwanted supplies to Friends of Ostomates Worldwide  http://www.fowusa.org/

They will distribute them to those in countries where ostomy supplies are not readily available.

There's an equivalent FOW group in Canada as well.

Thanks Shaz, I knew there was an organization that did this years ago, wasn't sure they were still accepting donations.

I have boxes of the stuff as I believe in being prepared in case of an emergency, then when I have a surgery everything changes.

My DME supplier here in my town will take supplies you can no longer use and hang on to them for their customers who do not have insurance to cover their supplies. One lady no longer needed the covex inserts, and returned several to the store. I know the folks and they gave me a box of them to try to make sure that is what I needed a couple of months ago. Just thought I'd let you know that might be an option. (Tho I know they could just as easily put them back on their shelves and re-sell them---- these folks don't.)
