My husband was diagnosed in Sept with MSA

Would like to chat with anyone who also has this disease. Would like to know of any treatments or medications you may be using that helps .

I was told this was a helping site. 31 people have read my post and not one response Not even a welcome.
I am a little disappointed.No one but the people that are going thru this know what its like so I thought I might receive some support and assistance here.

I Am sorry that you have not received any response,and I would like to welcome you to HealingWell.I still hold out for hope that you will hear from someone experiencing M.S.A.I can only offer my support as I have no knowledge nor have I experienced this disease.I would like to wish you,and your husband the best.Anyone with M.S.A.or a loved one that has it please respond.Ed

Thank You for the welcome Yekkimo. Could you suggest a way to find anyone who might have dealt with Multiple System Atrophy?

My husband has been treated for Parkinson's for 18 years.  Last year during a bad episode, a new neurologist thought it may be MSA rather than Parkinson's. Most doctors have not even heard of MSA. One of the symptoms has to do with low blood pressure.  While hospitalized, his blood pressure actually dropped to 40/27. He was rushed to ICU from the mental health facility. Notice I said "mental health". He developed suicide impulses. I believe this was due to the meds he was given.  I often think I should ween him off all meds.

Anyway, I don't think anyone knows much about MSA and that is why you have not received a reply.
