GJGPWP,
I am a believer in exercise ... ESPECIALLY for people with Parkinson's disease.
One PD exercise program that can be done at home is called 'Delay the Disease' by David Zid. The link is http://www.delaythedisease.com/ I happen to know David, but have no vested interest in his program.
I participate in a program taught at a gym - not a home-based program, although the same concepts could be done at home with the right equipment. It is a free (no vested interest in the program, etc) boxing-based fitness program for people with Parkinson's. I have been involved with the program since it started 4 years ago. I feel that my progression has been slower and that I have been able to maintain a lower level of meds as a result of my involvement in this rigorous exercise program.
You can see a video of the program by going to www.youtube.com and searching on 'Rock Steady Boxing'. Otherwise, my favorites are:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRpK3N1t8xk <-- the story of Rock Steady Boxing

The important part is to exercise ... the more often, the better ... the more rigorous ('forced exercise'), the better. Best of luck finding a program that works for you!
