I was diagnosed with PD about 3 months ago. I am dealing with all of those fears, feelings.
I would really like some friends I can email with who are in the boat. I am 36 years old. I have a wonderful
Movement disorder specialist. I am on Sinemet and Mirapex. Well if you would with to chat, new friend

Kats,Welcome to Healing Well.I would suggest YOPD a website directed at the young with parkinson's disease.Just google yopd,and you will find it.I hope you find others to offer advice,and support.We are always here for you.Best wishes Ed

I was 37 when I got the disease, now I'm 54. I've been living with the disease for 17 years. Although I have freezing

episode and having dyskenesia I'm still doing okey. Don't be afraid of the disease . Educate yourself and remain active mentally and physically. Pursue your goal and you will see that PD will not hampers your dreams. Keep going and you'll be there.

Welcome! The young onset website that ed/yekkimo referred to is www.yopa.org It's a great resource and chat (always someone there in the evenings ... like 8-9ish til 11ish EST) for people with young onset parkinson's disease.
