back stiffness n pain

What PD meds are you taking?  I had very terrible back pain for years before i was diagnosed.  Tried chiropracters, therapy, over counter meds.  Nothing worked.  After I was diagnosed my nuero put me on sinemet. I remember the first day I took them, I laid in bed and in about 20 minutes it felt like my body was melting.  I was so tight and stiff and that caused all my back pain.  Havent had any back pain since.  Lots of other issues, but back in check

I am certainly not an expert, but I wouldnt think the back pain would be from the meds.  Stiffness and soreness is a big part of pd.  Even though my back pain has gone away, I fight stiffness and pain everyday throughout my body.  I try to keep moving as much as my body will alow and stretch alot and it does help.  Also just because your mother has pd doesnt mean that she couldnt just have a bad back.  I would check into therapy designed for back pain and also check if she has any structural issues with her back.  Good luck
