I would like to hear from PWP who live alone. Can I continue for another 5-10 years?

I will be 70 this year and I live alone; I have had PD for nine years - forced to retire 2 yrs ago. I want to stay in my home as long as possible; I will contract for services as needed. At this point in time I am getting intense PT on an outpatient basis. Is there anyone out there also living alone and, if so, how are you managing? PS: The recent post re "A-Typical response to Parkinson meds" I posted for a friend who has poor eyesight and is unable to type.

My MIL is 73 and lives on her own (also diagnosed 9-10 years ago). We do NOT like her driving due to "freezing" issues, and has numerous walkers/canes throughout her home. At this point, even she has begun the search for senior housing. We want her on her own as long as possible, but it's not looking like a reality. Keep a notebook and journal how you're feeling (mentally and physically) for a few weeks. Get an HONEST opinion from friends, family and your doc. Make this YOUR decision...
