Ally,
Welcome to Healing well.I wish you the best, and don't worry.
There is no definitive test for PD.The Diagnosis is generally arrived at thru a process of elimination using many forms of testing such as Blood tests,MRI ,EMG.Physical testing Etc . if your symptoms point to PD,then using PD medications to see if there is a positive response is generally used.PD can and is often misdiagnosed so I would encourage you to get a second opinion.I would also encourage you to see a neurologist that specializes in movement disorders. You might call them neurologist specialists. Now back to my statement don't worry. If you indeed have PD it is not the end of the world.most people with PD are able to get around ok and enjoy life, and family.last but not least worry creates stress the major enemy of people with PD.Stay in touch ,we are a support group, and we are here for you let us know how your neurologist appt. goes.Ed
