I have posted that my husband has hallucinations and the doctor has tried anti phsychotic meds with no change. In fact may be worse.  Now he is lowering the mirapex and may remove it. I now find the hallucinations just as bad but he is so weak he can barely walk.  Anyone have experience with removing this or reducing it. He is on sinemet and comtan now with half the dose of mirapex.

I can't leave him alone now at all. Saragh

Good morning Saragh, You are having quite a hard time right now. I have no advice to offer, just encouragement and prayers for strength. Is he also on Elderpril, or Selegeline? Has the dr. mentioned Provigil. My husb. tried that and was able to walk and move much better. Is your hubby in pain?

  Check with the neuro to see if the mirapex can be stopped 6 hrs before bedtime.I take mirapex at about 7:00 am and again about 2:00 pm the stalevo I take 3x last dose before bed.My sleep improved after I stopped taking mirapex before bed.Good luck.Wish you the best.Ed

Thanks to both of you. Yes he has been on all the meds mentioned and has had a variety of side effects from severely swollen legs to hives that required hospitalization.  His last mirapex is at 7 but that has been reduced by half and will eventually be removed as the neuro seems to think it is the cause of his hallucinations.  I appreciate this site as I need to have contact with people experiencing similar challenges. I realize we have been fortunate and that there are much worse neuro disorders but over time it is only natural to wear down a bit.  Thanks for the support. I do appreciate it.  The VON suggested a nurse see him who is more familiar with Parkinsons and I hope she comes tomorrow.
