joints hurt, musles streached (cramping) to the max oh my!

Question... I try to walk with my wife when ever I'm up to it but I know I am holding her back with my short stride & slowness. But I try, I really do. Hard to get out of bed in the morning, the mind says up but the body says ain't no way sucker. Some mornings she has to help me roll out of bed and help get my pants and shirt on. The cramping and joints hurt so at times the thought of another day like this is killing me. Is this normal? Think my meds should be changed to something new? Anyone else have problems like this or know of anyone who does? I think my meds are wearing off at night but not sure. I don't go back to my neurologist, cardiologist or GP for a couple weeks and hate to bug em for nothing  ( I just know the receptionist hates me ;-). If I knew this was part of PD I would feel better just increase the ibuprofin. 56 still kicking but getting tired.

Thanks for the reply Ed. I take sinemet 25/250 every 4 hours. With all the other meds I take for COPD and congestive heart failure I don't think the doctors know what to do and how much of what I can take. Do you think there are any other meds I could try for the aches & pains or I may suggest to him? He is an old time doctor who's been around the block a few times. My neurologist is really cool because he was the first doctor ever to say we'll work it out and get you what ever you want or need. It's your body, everyone is differant with PD so we'll leave it up to you how you feel, what you want to maintain the quality of life that suits you. He doesn't pull any punches and calls it like it is but he does have a hard time working with these new doctors. He called up my cardiologist the other day and chewed his you know what for not calling him back about some meds he has me on and about driving. That's another thing, do they still let you drive? My PD doc says ok but the heart doctor says no and my GP says "Hey I'm not getting in the middle of this one". LOL Thank you again for your reply.     Bob 

I have had COPD for quite awhile.  I have also had to  fight severe cramping as a result of the COPD  meds I take.  I mean severe.  I cramp all over.  The solution I found for this is Quinine Sulfate.  I use the 325mg caps and take one in the morning and 2 at night.  I tried to not use this but I cramp soooooooooooooo bad.    It could be what you need.  I hope  you get this message and it helps.
