Hi, I'm new to the forum. I'm mom to a 21 year old daughter who through genetic testing we just learned has juvenile parkinsons. She was diagnosed with dystonia when she was 8 years old and has continually deteriorated over the past 13 years. Finally we have a diagnosis to what has been a mystery illness. She's been on sinemet (25/250) 4x day for almost two years. Today her neurologist put her on neupro. We'll start tomorrow so I can keep an eye for any side effects over the weekend. Does anyone here have experience with anyone else with juvenile parkinsons or this new drug called neupro? Would love to chat if so.

You can look for a thread about medication by patch.  We found out from our friends in the UK and Canada that Neupro wasn't new after all.  For older adults it didn't sound as great as I thought that it would be, but hopefully it may be just the thing for young patients.  Hello Bear, know anything about this?   OK, I found that thread and it should be around the top of the list now.  Hold the applause, please.  GTM

I have not heard of it being used for Young Onset, although it is indicated for Early stage.
