This morning, I had my last of three doctors visits this week. This was with my radiation oncologist. Dr. P. told me that he is now seeing 7 and 8 year old studies with the protocol I followed. The improvement in results is excellent. He is excited enough about
it he suggested that I meet with their marketing people for a case study in the NCI publications. I am beginning to gain confidence that this will stay away. Most of you know that my stage, Gleason, and percentage of involvement indicate a likely return of the disease. And we talked about
that today but my body has responded well to treatment. I told him about
this site again, about
the newbies and the vets. I told him that it is true. Cancer is a life changing event. This is no exception for me. But my biggest change is the will to help others. I am now on the lucky side of this disease. Whether or not it returns. But I have been through a lot this past year. I can take that experience and offer it to anyone who would want it. This site has those people.
All those who signed above thank you! You are special people just by being here and sharing yourselves with us complete strangers. But you continue to help me by letting me stay around, trying to help you.
Lana,
I have lived in Las Vegas 15 years. Pianoman does so as well. My eyes have seen a lot. This town grew to a major metropolis since I lived here. It gave me a great disposition in life, my wife, and an excellent access to the desert southwest. I was riding my dirt bike about
a hundred miles or so north of here a few months back. My neighbor and his dad were riding my Rhino when we came across two things that tell me the best about
living here. First dead ahead on the trail was a herd of wild mustangs. They were running at full speed across the plain and it was just like the wild west, trail of dust and all. Then just to our right were about
fifteen antelope. One buck decided to play with us. So we started away at about
35mph and he came from behind and blew past us like we were standing still. I mean he cut in front of us by about
twenty feet and was off near the marsh in a matter of thirty seconds. When most people think of Vegas they think of casinos, entertainment, and heat. Las Vegas is much better than that. Sure we get all the shows, but my favorite shows are in the
open desert. I guess I'm a southwest nut.
