I noticed in the news that a number of presidential candidates have dropped out of the race, and am relieved that our own candidate, Biker Jim, has not.
If you consider that prostate cancer strikes 1 in 6 men, that's 17% of the population that will doubtless vote for Jim. Most of their significant others (spouses, partners, etc.) will, too. That's 34% already and a good start on the road to become president.
I'd like to suggest a few things to for Jim's platform, if I may:
(1) More funds for research into prostate cancer and the development of a vaccine.
(2) More funding for research into prostate cancer treatment and cure (see Tony's post)
(3) More support for Vietnam veterans who are diagnosed with prostate cancer as a result of Agent Orange exposure.
If you have other suggestions for the prostate cancer platform, please add them to these.
