XRAYS During IMRT

Hi Chayna,
I know you know I was WPRT. (who was feeding you that info?). I was Xray'd every Friday during Treatment. Vitals on Monday, Tuesday with the RO. He gave me as much time as I wanted. I believe that this is pretty standard protocol for standard IMRT. When using CT aided IMRT (Tomotherapy) the xrays are done with CT Scan during the daily treatment. Thus why tomotherapy is more accurate than IMRT or Proton. But I did the standard IMRT. I guess I was hoping the less accurate way would hit more leftovers...?

Holy Cow I guess I feel special because I get xray's everyday. Yup, after my therapists line me up they tell me, "we are going to take a few xray's" as they exit the room. I just figured that was standard protocol. Well anyway I'm just glad I only have 12 more treatments to go. Granted I enjoy seeing everyone at Duke but I am getting tired of the daily trip, but my 10 year old son has been on break for the past 3 weeks and he has accompanied me everyday and we have had a great time. Thanks Will!

Thanks for your responses! My dad just finished week 4 of radiation!!! Hooray! Three weeks to go.  I guess the next three weeks are 10minute sessions instead of 25.  Good thing.  He has been having GI side effects pretty bad.
