Proton workup

Well I have finally been scheduled to return to the University of Florida Proton Therapy Institure in Jacksonville. My appoints will be the 29th and 30th of April and the 1st of May.

They say I will return in 4-5 weeks to start my radiation.

I still have not been told the results of the PET and Prostascint Scans. I will update Richards Journey also.

I would say that you are in good shape with regards to the other scans. They would not be moving to schedule you for treatment if the scans showed metastatic PCa or even suspicious movement toward the margin. Protons are not used in those cases. Good Luck

This is exciting news, Richard. Sounds like things are working out well with your treatment plan. Although it was not a practical approach for me, I am very interesting in this promising newer treatment for prostate cancer.
