Well the last of 30 radiation treatments was yesterday and I am happy to say I had no side effects! The Radiation Therapists and support staff at Duke University Hospital were the best. They made 30 traveling days seem a lot more tolerable and I hate to say it, but it will be nice not to have to see them every day.

I swear I feel like I have this big weight off my shoulders. Granted I still have my PSA's but I have my days back.

Its alway nice to end one phase and begin another in recovery. These milestones keep us positive...

Glad to hear you came thru the radiation with flying colors.  Stay positive and we will look for a great report in a few months.

Good for you, kd! You've come through another milestone with flying colors...I wish you the very best.
I realize some say "what else are you going to do?"...but I think there should be stars given for the tenacity it takes to finish radiation! :-)

Congratulations from another salvage radiation guy about 2/3 of the way through. Gosh it seems like there are quite a few of us doing this now.

Mozart, I think the only side effect I had was the fatigue from driving back and forth to treatments. I'm sure most share the same sentiments. Good Luck and you are over the hump.

Great news in completing your next phase and coming through with flying colors, it gives me great hope for side effects as well as I just started my salvage radiation on Monday, hey I only have 34 more to go. Now here's hoping that your PSA goes to 0 and stays there for good.
