Hi to all my friends
Let me start by thanking everyone who helped me in getting this far as I'm now on the other side. Also this is my first chance to get back on the net.
Day 1
Surgery scheduled for 7:00 AM by Dr Fagin. Surgery started as scheduled and lasted for 1.5 hours. Recovery lasted for about 1 hour so I was fully awoke by 10:00 AM. According to Dr Fagin everything went well. He said that he held the prostate in his hand and felt the surrounding tissue at the margin and from what he felt everything seems to be OK but we still have to wait for the pathogist report. I took my first walk around the hospital hallway around 2:00 PM which lasted for about 20 minutes. For the rest of the day I took two more walks lasting about 25 minutes each. Most of my pain is in the penis where the catheter is located. The first bag of urine was red but after that everything is clear now. My first night sleep I would say went 60/40.
Day 2.
Woke up brush my tooth and took a walk for about 30 minutes, then had a light breakfirst. Got discharged around 10:00 AM and started my trip back to Dallas around 10:30 AM. The Trip wasn't that bad I had to stop once to drain the bag (had the small bag that was tied around my leg). My two daughters and wife were with me. Got home around 2:15 PM and had to take two pain killers as the 7 insisions are the ones paining more now. They are a little stiff but not unbearable. All in all I think everything went well as I'm in the waiting process again to find out the patholgist report. I'll edit my signature later as I'm feeling a little dizzy now and want to go take a nap.
Day 3:
Well still no BM yet. Continue to take stool softener and Milk of Magnesia and lots of liquid. If no BM by this afternoon will take a supositary and see how that goes. The insision pain is a little better this morning. Had to get up last night around 3:30 AM to take a pain killer which helped.
