On November 13, 2007 I had open prostate surgery.

On December 5, 2007 I had my catheter removed.

On December 10, 2007, a left groin hernia made its unfortunate appearance.

On January 14, 2008, I had hernia surgery.

On May 20, 2008, I flew from California to Illinois to Wisconsin, walked a mile or so in 3 airports, walked to dinner here in Madison and am now in my hotel room.  For the first time since my surgery, I went the entire day without wearing pads for my incontinence and the results were very good.

Not proclaiming myself continent yet....still worry about coughing and REAL strenuous exercise like running or heavy, extended yardwork....but this is a milestone worth smiling about for me.

Thanks for allowing me to share this small moment in my journey.

Thanks for sharing Danman Bob. I agree this forum is wonderful to share our thougths feelings and emotions. Glad you are improving.

Danman, thanks for the update and congrats.  It's details like these that make this site so very valuable.  Your experience offers hope to all who are still in a more liquid state.  So did you schlep luggage too?  That could put the system to a test.

Yes, carried my luggage...but only a laptop/briefcase and a small rollerbag, so not that much.

Hey Danman,

Boy I like to here that news.  Way to go.  Let me know when your here in Chicago again. I would love to have lunch with ya or somtin.

My leaking faucet is slowing down but not as fast as I would like of course.  1-2 pads during a heavy work day,  1-2 in evening and 1 Big Moe at night.  I had my first two dry nights and then last night, what the heck....  It seems when I sleep like a little baby I leak like a big baby.

Not even two months out so I dont have any real complaints I think I am doing fine.
