NEW PSA on hormone therapy

My Uncle went to doctor today for his second eligard shot. He asked the doctor about doing intermittent hormone therapy. The doctor would not hear of it. He said he is responding so well to the hormones. His PSA went from 8.6 to .2 in just the few weeks   . 

He just started his pelvic radiation on Monday.  Tonight we sleep a little better.

Great news Cheryl,
If HT is what it is, I hear that Lupron has less side effects. I am on it and it has been tolerable. Eligard and Trelstar seem to have the severist side effects. I would ask about that. But you are truly in good shape. Two years will be the recommendation likely. Then the vacations begin. I am a year away....tick tick...

Thanks everyone, so glad I come here. I will tell him about the lupron shot. My Uncle does not complain but we know he is very tired and he is losing the strength in his arms (he is a commercial builder).  The doctor asked him if he was reading the Snuffy Myers book when he asked about Intermittent. I told him he is going to have to wait until he can approach that question again.
