Biker is out of surgery.

Hey Everyone,

Jim is doing well. ML called about an hour ago my time, and said all went well and Jim is resting. Initial node examination shows no spread cancer. As we all know,  final path will be decide future plans however the surgeon sounded optimistic per ML.  For now, Jim's had the upper portion of the lung and a wedge removed and is in recovery with family by his side. He will be in the hospital for at least a week but, I'm sure we'll find a way to stay in touch! :-)

That's really good news.  With a clean path report, he can continue his interrupted journey of recovery and healing.

Hi Swim,

Thanks for the update... Sorry I didn't see your post before I posted on the other thread.

I called the hospital almost one hour ago as well.  It was nice to talk to Jim and MaryLu.

As I said on the other post, Jim is in more pain than he should be right now.  Your thoughts and prayers will help.  The docs will look into it and help him out tonight.

You guys are great!

** Biker Update 6/26/2008 **

Hey... Just talked to Biker within the hour.  He sounded a lot more like his "ole" self.  yeah

He is tired, has walked around a little, and is still hooked up to a lot of stuff so he can't go very far yet.  The docs also helped him with his pain and he feels a lot better than yesterday.

He really appreciates all the support from the forum and hopes to "see" y'all very soon!

I know the positive influence from your thoughts and prayers are really helping him!

Thanks for the update. We are all very happy for Jim. He is a leader here and very important to us all. He is in our prayers. I can't wait for him to be back with us.

Good grief,  been away from the forum for awhile and will have to go back to catch up on Biker and others...  Glad that he is out of surgery and Avis and my prayers are with him...
