I had my year and a half follow up this week and my PSA was undetectable.  While I expected this would be the result it is always good to when they inform you.  I am still not having any normal erections and I talked with my surgeon for a long time about it.  We discussed implants but he was not ready to recommend it to me.  He still thinks I will continue to improve.  He wanted me to try MUSE so I have filled a prescription for some.  I do not have a lot of confidence it will work but what the heck, I will try anything.  Injections work but the need to plan and allow enough time afterwards just does not lend itself to a lot of fun.  I will continue to fight the ED.

What are the pro's and con's of MUSE?  Seems (??) that relatively few here use it.

 

Trying to remember, are you a Caverject, trimix, bimix or quadmix guy now?

Tamu- Congrats on your PSA!! Great news!

Hey Danman-
There are a few old threads regarding the Muse. If you type Muse in the google box at the top of the page, you should be able to pull them up. I believe the Muse is used in less than 1% of the ED population, which explains why you haven't gotten much response. However, I do believe it works in approx. 30% of men. Hopefully you will get a few more responses!

I am a Bimix guy. I did give the MUSE a try and it did produce an erection firm enough for penetration and that was at 500 mg dose. My surgeon said that if I handled that okay to give him a call and he would raise the dose. I might try another dose and see how it goes. I had a little ache but no burning. One thing I noticed with the Muse that I do not get with the injection is the head of the penis is larger. Maybe this is because the MUSE is inserted closer to the head.

Tamu, congrats on another undetectable test! that is our lifetime goal, isn't it? Jeff continues to see improvement in the ED area, but it is unpredictable. he's actually had a couple of erections without the use of anything in the past couple of months, and he is going on his second year anniversary. so there is hope....kat

Congrats on the big Zero....

The ED battle continues here too. Planning is a pain but better than the alternative. I guess the kitchen floor quickie is gone forever...
