TimG, the India companies we use for generic ED drugs manufacturers to the same world standards as any other legimitate sellers anywhere else in the world. They market probably 95% of the worlds countries, and have done so under strict control and inspection of several world drug standard organizations, so their safety and performance is outstanding and meets all recognized international standards. Just because a drug doesn't have the "made in America stamp" doesn't mean it is unsafe, etc. Billions of people in the world each day use drugs not made here, safely and usually cheaper. I don't hesitate to use the India drugs, having researched the companies and seeing the world class standards that they use. That they aren't allowed into the US is a result of politics and powerful drug company lobbies than anything else.
The answer to how are we gonna cope with all the baby boomers costs is in the same paragraph above. We are gonna have to recognize that we must break the strangle-hold of the big American drug companies and their lobbies, to allow use of 'safely manufactured" oversees drugs. The trend is developing now with using from Canada and other countries. If the same drug can be gotten overseas for the same safety and at 1/4 the cost, I think market economics will dictate a switch in thinking. All this is my personal opinion of course, and a discussion, not an argument....
