Hi All,

Some of you may know me from the old days here but most probably don't as I don't post much anymore. I can't beleive it's been 5 years since my RP and nothing but goose eggs! I would like to thank everyone who have helped me get this far, Y'all know who you are!!

Congratulations on your continued "0's" - that is an encouragement to all of us dealing with PC.  I do hope you get other matters lined up as well as your PC.  Thanks for checking in!!!! Keep praying and looking up!

PSA: 5.1
T1C clinical diagnosis, Needle biopsy - 10 cores, Gleason 7 = 3+4 in 1 core (40%), 7 cores Gleason 6 = 3+3 ranging from 5% to 12%
All scans negative
Lupron administered 4/9/2008 for 4 months (with idea I would undergo external beam radiation followed by seed implants - then I changed my mind).
Robotic DiVinci surgery - Dr. Fagin (Austin) May 19th
Post operative - pathology
pT2c NX MX
Gleason 3+4
Margins - negative
Extraprostatic extension - negative
seminal vesicle invasion - uninvolved

Thank goodness. Glad to hear the continued good news. So, how about them shots instead of gels? No way can a Doc argue with success after 5 years. Paul is doing sooooo much better.

Once a week and an occasion teenie tiny 1/2 pill and he's good to go.

Hey Swim,

YES, I've been thinking about asking him for T-shots instead of this dumb jelly stuff! Does Paul give himself shots or does he go in once a week? Maybe I'll get rid of this Uro he he says NO!

Does his own Pete.

I helped him with the first but he's done his own since. Simple, quick and with the right technique, painless. Cypionate delivers 75mgs of T from each 100mg dose) His Doc wanted 200mg/week but no way!!! Started with 100 for 6 weeks then upped his dose to 125mg. This is a dose that works well for Paul.
Didn't want to make a monster out of the guy. Just want him healthy.

Is he loosing his hair? I think this stuff is making me loose mine. I don't care, I'm not that vain. Is there any other wierd stuff going on w/ these shots? Does he get frisky when there's a full moon or grow any extra body hair, how about his K-9 teeth, do they get long & pointy?? Biker, feel free to chime in anytime, I know you were using the shots?

Hey Pete,

5 years of zeros is indeed a major milestone. Congrats!!!

I shoot 1 cc of T each week. That is 200 mg of testosterone and is my dosage for the past 12 years of so. I feel good at that dosage so will stay on it until something changes. It keeps my "frisky" level up to where sex is fun and I don't howl at the moon and have not grown canines - yet. I was taking 2 cc every two weeks but switched to 1 cc a week in order to level out the response. (Swim helped me decide to do that - bless her one more time.)

MaryLu gives me the shots. I have injected myself a few times and can get it done but its still very awkward due to my having 5 thumbs on each hand. Besides she rather enjoys the moment when she gets to stab me in the butt.

Good luck buddy and keep rolling those zeroes...
