Hi all
I posted just over a week ago to ask advice on my husband's PSA rise from 0.8 to 1.7. The answer came back that it could be that the cancer has become hormone refractory
He has now been prescribed 50mg daily of Casodex as well as his three monthly injections of Zolodex, but we're not sure what the purpose of this is. Is this the second round in trying to get the PSA level down? If it is, I'm wondering if anyone else has gone down this route and if so, how effective its been.
We don't have a chance to talk properly to the medical team so hoped that someone on here could give us some idea about whats going on. Of course, no-one can be very sure as all cases are different, but just some basic idea would be appreciated
Thank you in advance
Julia
