New PSA and Testosterone Results

 

I thought I would report in and see if others felt that I was on the right track.  I had blood work and a Zoladex shot Tuesday 9/23/08.  My lab results came back with my PSA at 2.83 and my Testosterone at 16.  I'm noticing something that I'm not sure if it's a side effect of the zoladex or not - I feel more tired that usual.  Also, while I don't have hot flashes the way they;ve been described to me, I have period of time where I feel feverish and it can last for hours or days.  Any thoughts on my levels and the side effects?

 

I was told by the doc that testosterone levels should be below 20 on HT - which as Dale stated is where you are. As far as the hot flashes etc.., I was on Lupron and I found similar to you just some little changes in temperature here and there. Sometimes I didn't know whether to attribute it to the HT or just my daily mood. Most of the worst side effects for me usually occurred during the night and they were quite obvious. Those were getting real hot, sometimes followed by getting cold.

In all of it though, I did not think it was a big deal. It was probably more mental then anything else, because when it was happening I would think about my PC. When it is all said and done you will do fine with this and get through it. It is not painful, just somewhat inconvenient. Blessings.
