It is 7 weeks after my surgery and I am still dealing with alot of pain when standing and sitting. I have been treated with cypro for a bladder infection twice,(and some constipation) so I don`t know if thats the problem. A couple guys told me they experienced rectal and scrotum pain for a longer period after ther surgery if you have any nerves removed when you have surgery. Does anyone have the same problem and is 7 weeks still to early to be rid of the pain and discomfort. Also does anyone have anything that you can use to soothe this area. ie bath salts or rubs
I have an appointment Nov 12 with my DR. to go over my first PSA since the surgery. So I will have some questions for him as well
My catheter was taken out the first time 2 and a half weeks ago. But a week ago I have to go into the emerg as I was in pain and not able to pass urine or have a bowell movement, (they gave me an enema) some due to a blatter infection, so the catheter was put in for another 5 days. The pain level can be as high as an 8, if I do any standing or sitting to long. Normally its about a 5 all the time. Tylenol will help a little with the pain
What type of surgery? open? Robotic?
I too was in pain after my catheter was taken out and it had to be put in again but much earlier. I don't think you should be in pain at this time. I would encourage you to move up your appt and have things checked out.
my surgery was RP
The earliest appointment I can get is nov 12 unless a cancelation
I guess you are very fortunate and healed quickly as I am not so fortunate. Are you able to have intercourse or get an erection or orgasm
