I've noticed lately that everytime I have a BM I get a partial erection which is improving with time. I am about 11 months out from surgery.  I know that the prostate is very close to the colon and the nerves were spared.  I don't know if the added pressure has anything to do with the healing nerves.  Its not a question that I want to ask my Uro.  From his responses to some of my prevoius questions, he probably doesn't have a clue. Anyone out there with a similar experience?  Hope this is not an inappropriare question. nono

I do recall someone here (hope it wasn't you!) reporting this, so it has happened before. I'm 9 months out from surgery -- and it hasn't happened to me, but I'll live in hope....

Yeah, I get reactions like that once in a while. It started about 6 mons out of surgery and it didn't happen before surgery. Don't know what causes it but I'm thankful for all of life's little pleasures...

Haven'thad that experience yet, but it gives me hope. I'll take any reaction at this point.

Had my surgery a little over a year ago and I'm experiencing the same thing. I thought it was quite odd, because there is certainly nothing ummmm, stimulating about that function confused . But I'll take what I can get  smilewinkgrin  .

Welll, the infamous Martin Luther, once remarked that, and I paraphrase here, that taking a dump was nearly a sexual experience to him, so perhaps you guys are on to some thing. lol.

Ah what a site. There is feedback on every question no matter how odd. I too, 18 months out, occasionally have this same reaction when applying a slight push pressure. Perhaps it should henceforth be known as a reverse kegel. shocked

Another reason to look forward to the BM, if mine worked that way, I'm sure I would be on a steady diet of fiber and ex-lax!!!
