1st Post Op PSA test today. Obviously, scared.

I have my first test today.  I had RP 10/15 at Johns Hopkins with Dr. Partin.  Post-Op path was Gleason 6, organ confined.  Just had PCa in about every lobe.  Tumor volume stated as "moderate".  I have read that tumor volume is not an adverse prognastic factor.  Does anyone know more about this?  I am more nervous then I was for the surgery.

Hi Chris,
You had great results at surgery. My bet you will be a big zero. But I understand. I have been at this over two years and I have my tests tomorrow and it is still a bit nerve racking. But I feel we will be fine, both of us.

Chris, I had my 5th one today, and it hasn't gotten that much easier. I don't get nervous until after the blood draw, then I have it lingering in my mind until I get the results next Wed. I think we all have a little stress about it, but I remember how worse the first one was. Your path report suggests a good report, probably a big zero.

All this talk about VIagra, the pump, and Trimix is great if your insurance covers it. Otherwise, you get screwed. No coverage and too expensive means impotent for the rest of my life.

Ah Chris,
waiting for the results of the PSA test is always an unnerving time but as good results mount the apprehension is just a tad less each time. Your op pathology reads well and the pre-op PSA pretty low.............good signs. Here's wishing you the very best of results and I look forward to reading your next post.

Chris, I remember how nervous I was before my first PSA post-op, I sympathize with you. I am wishing the best for you. In my case, I still get nervous but have developed some confidence, thanks to the fantastic members here.
