There's a Blogosphere link I have that was discussed recently as to its appropriateness to post, contains graphic before and after implant photos and stories.  Maybe this is what you are looking for?  If so, I go the link, just ask.

There's not much message traffic this month but the home page will give you access to messages as far back as 2005.  I hope this helps but I know of no person with a 10 year history with one implant.  Good luck.

All this talk of shortening is very discouraging, especially after the RP shortening that nobody tells you about. If it gets any shorter, whats the use.

I think there needs to be a fundamental advance in this technology before I sign up.

Hi guys I'm now 5 months post implant,I have gained back some of my loss,I have the AMS700 LGX which expands lengthwise.

I have a question for those of you that have had an implant for awhile. Do these things set off the alarm at airport screening?

I think I have read somewhere that implants do not set off the alarm at airports.  However, if this new technology x-ray is used which shows through clothing, someone will get an eye full, since the implanted penis appears larger when it is flacid than the natural, un-implanted one.

Hey Luke -

I travel a lot  and you are safe with the airport alarms - now the x-ray thing might put you in a room for a strip search. I hate it when the bomb dog sniffs down there.

Is this right? Does it really improve girth and length by 10 to 15%? That seems like a hell of a plus to me vrs the ones that make you loose a half an inch?

Generally speaking, those whom I am in contact with who have the AMS 700 LGX do, at least, retain most of the pre-surgery length.  None of them (manufacturers) will tell you it will increase over your original length, although the website you referrd to does give you that indication.  It does not work that way.  I do know (personally) of one guy who has this model, and he still experienced shortening, and of course he was dissapointed.  So, as "they" say, it really depends upon an individual guy's anatomy... I think.  It also depends upon the experience of the surgeon.  My doc wanted to use the 700 CX. He said it is more rigid than the lgx.   I went with his advice and have the CX.  I did experience some shortening, but I'm not sure if it was actually post prostate removal or post penile implant installation.  I did increase in girth size, at least, and wife says that's good.

Well I made it through airport security without setting off the bells. I was a little nervous as you can imagine.

 As far as the lengthening all I can say is that I've gained back about 1/2 inch,not that I took percise measurements prior to implant.As to the rigity well if it got any harder I would worry its like I'm 30 again

One other issue on the LGX - there are some long term implant patients (like me) that experienced tunica albugina failure. This is due to the connective sheath tissues weakening over time and causing failure. So to the guys who are trying to get a larger size by stretching the tissues past normal - just be mindful of this. I know others who have experienced this failure as well.

I am set to finish my salvage radiation in late March.  22 treatments so far with 16 remaining.

Unless complications arise, I expect to have an implant done in late May or early June.

I have met in person with 3 men who are implant guys, including my friend gene214.  All three are pleased.

Take it slow with the implants. There is no turning back.
Keep trying different amounts of Trimix (did not work for me) or
Bimix (Phento .5mg and Papa 30mg) 6-8 or more units in a 1/2 cc syringe. This works great for me.

I have a question for you guys, as long i get an implant what will happen if i change my medical plan? They will support the future implants?

I'm only 37 years old ...I'm think that i will attached to the same plan forever...

Hi Fredgerman, and welcome to the forum. You're right in thinking about the future, because at your age with present technology, you may need several replacements.

I can't answer the medical plan question, but I would again advocate caution. Be very sure that none of the reasonable alternatives will work for you: pills, injections or pump. Some experimentation will be necessary -- for injections and pump I needed a *lot* before getting it right.

If you can post some more details of what you have tried and perhaps a signature, we can probably help out with some specifics to suit you.

As you can tell from my signature I am approaching the three year mark since prostate surgery.  The ED has been the issue that I have been dealing with over these years.  I have been using injections for two and a half years but during that time my wife and I have not been pleased with the quality of our sex lives.  While the injections work the lack of spontaneity has decreased the frequency of our sex by a lot compared to prior to surgery.  In my case my erections with the injections last three to four hours and if I decrease dosage to counter this then the firmness of the erection suffers and so does the quality of the sex.  I have been studying penile implants for a long time and have now scheduled surgery for December.  I am having the AMS 700 LGX implant installed.  I elected to go back to where I had my prostate surgery that being Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville.  Dr. Milam will be the surgeon and he has done many of these implants.  My goal is to return to being able to perform when the mood hits us and not any increase in penile size although Dr. Milam told me there would be increase in girth.  This decision took a while to make as there is a risk I could lose the ability to have sex but the way our sex life is going now the benefit far outweighs the risk.

Having only my personal experience and the experiences of others who have shared their experiences and who have had the penile implant, I think you will be pleased with your decision.  I wish you well... and as you can see in my profile, I've had mine for 14 months now and I am still very pleased.   At least you do not have to deal with the incontinence thingy.  I had to also have the AUS implanted at the same time.

There is another member on this forum who is having his implant today.  I do not think he posts any longer, but we have visited several times and have remained in constant contact.

Being one of the 'old guys' with the penile implant - I wish you all the best. I think your choice of Dr. Milam is a good one. As you can see from my signature, I have been down the implant road a few times. and take it from me, they can fix about anything. Is the implant perfect? Nope - but it sure beats the alternative.

I had s implant on10/28/13 and am still aware of the foreign objects in scrotum and penis though getting better daily. now about encapsulation. because of excessive swelling doc could not inflate me this went on for too long and the reservoir became covered with body tissues. I had to be put to sleep again as the doc did not want to hurt me. he did not have to cut me open but manipulated the reservoir with "great pressure" . this procedure was easy and I felt nothing and still don't. I can inflate and deflate my self. thus you can see why partial inflation is important. as for recovery time I as wrong to think 3 months would put me back to normal probably will be 6 months though I can have sex with all the normal feeling keep on pumping and deflating often don
