I've snipped a few bits from this discussion that provided too much specific information about an online vendor. Also, please remember that some of the medications are prescription and make sure your transactions are legal in whatever country you are doing business. -- PeterDisAbelard.

I post this as a warning in case you get such an email as well.

Yesterday I ordered some Viagra from alldaychemists through their web site. Its my first time but I've seen the threads here and others have reported no problems.

Today I get the email below. My concern is:
- How did the person who sent me the email know I made the transaction?
- How did they knew the amount?
- Do they also know my credit card number now?

This is very troubling.

Here is the email below

I would like to inform you that we are currently facing some problems in processing payments through credit cards. You are thus requested to send us a personal check / money order / wire transfer for the amount of the order. Please note that a $5.00 discount will also be applied as per our current offer. The check / money order can be sent to us by regular mail which will cost you only about a Dollar. For your reference the details are enclosed herein:

Amount of the order (Original Order Amount after deducting $5.00): US$ 53.28

Details for paying by check / Money Order:

DERRIC WOOD

lots of gus are getting that right now. As far as we can tell, ADC is having problems getting credit cards charges, maybe/probably because of the banking upheaval now. Several guys have said they have ben told by ADC that they have shipped their order and they will charge their card in 30 to 40 days. I know it sounds a little irregular, but so far no one has had any adverse money problems with them. A Check or money order will still work, especially a money order. I would have no hesitancy ordering that way from them, since their credit card charge system is unavailable.

Derick Wood is a generic name they (ADC) use in their email, it has no particular significance. They know the details of your purchase because you provided them with your credit card info. The name and address is AllDayChemist, their way of putting a name or a face to their email and/or business dealings. You email is from ADC and is legitimate, according to others received in the past 1 or 2. Hope this helps to explain it.

I've placed two orders with ADC with no problems. The package came from "Derick Wood" as the sender both times.

AllDay have never accepted Canadian credit cards and thus, I've always send them checks. Never had a problem caused by them. Would not hesitate to order from them again.

Nothing fishy about that. We're all going through the same thing now. You just need to send a check or MO to pay for your order. Derric Wood is the name of the company. The issue with the credit cards should be resolved soon. Once you give them the information on your check or money order, they'll send your order right away. The wire transfer is about $30. The stamp to mail a check or money is only about 92cents.

This is why this forum is so good. I thought sure that someone by the name of Derick Wood intercepted the email and was looking for money. Thanks for your input.

OK some good news ... my ADC order (from around the beginning of March shipped) HAS ARRIVED.
And yes this was one caught up in the Great Credit Card Storm of '09.
So they did ship it anyways. (this was not an express mail delivery this time so no tracking history on where it has been all this time -- sorry!).

But order up and leave the rest to our good friends at ADC.
