squirting during orgasm

I don't know if the squirting of urinie is a constant norm after prostrate surgery. I had robotics on 1/8/09 and have had a number of orgasms also but only squirted urine once. My main problem is not being continent. In fact, instead of improvement I am seeing the condition becoming worse. I guess each of us experience different situations after surgery and nothing is norm. Hopefully, additional input to your question will be provided by other members.

As per my signature, my surgery was 1/22. Since then I've had a number of orgasms and each time have squirted a little (urine) in the process. In reviewing threads regarding the subject posted here, I have read that some of you do the same and work around it. My questions is, Is this the general act for most or just a few of you? Is it permanent?

Mine is a bit more confusing to me, biology and anatomy weak areas of understanding. After having a strong and lengthy "O" last night, the entire end of my manhood was leaking with a clear sticky fluid. It was not urine, never had have that problem so far. I am wondering if it was pre-semen. I understand, partly, that the source is from the Cowper's Glands, never heard of them before, and was wondering if they would normally be removed in prostate surgery, or not be able to connect to the urethra anylonger. Told you, this techincal body stuff is beyond me. Obviously it wasnt ejaculate, that is not physically possible, I know. But so far, this is the first I have experienced this in any post-surgery "O". Like I mentioned above, it was unusally long and intense, not the mild, distant "O" I had experienced up to now. Anyone else get this?

James, your reply gave me some re-assurance. I understand the pre-semen is suppose to clear the urethra of any urine traces and anything else, so that when the ejaculate is released, its clear sailing. I never thought of them as being two different things before from two different places. Last night's episode, I would have say, though still way different from pre-surgery, was a whole lot deeper feeling and more intense, as if it wasnt' being diluted by ejaculate (I know that doesnt make sense to say that), just trying hard to describe, and the duration was 2x or 3x longer then anything pre-surgery. Starting to make me think I could get real use to this "new" way, just have to have a different mindset. BTW, the natural errection that started the entire episode last night never wavered from foreplay, through full IC, and then since I hadn't "finished", ended up with a good HJ. Stayed firm and full length the whole time, and then took a while to ebb away when it was all done. Felt like it had a good work out. None of this is boasting, I report it only to give hope to all men here, you never know what you will or won't get, or when it will or won't happen. I still have not used a pump, any ED drugs, or had any injections since my one nerve saved only open surgery 3 1/2 months ago. I never, ever thought this would be possible, but it really is happening with me. I wish I knew what the difference was, so that the knowledge of it could be passed around the table.

Just for knowledge for trivial pursuit. The Cowper's gland is located below the prostate, so in a normal surgery, it is not removed. That is the clear fluid. What most guys call precum is part cowper's fluid and part prostatic fluid. The prostatic fluid thinned down the cowper's fluid and it often is part of the male's lubricant. Of course after surgery, the thicker cowper's fluid may sometimes appear but not always. Many prostate patients discover that things are 'drier' after surgery and often need to introduce lube for intercourse. Those little drops of precum made a huge difference upon insertion and intercourse at keeping things smooth. Funny the side affects that show up!
