Medicare does cover implants... they did mine. Also, the month I turned 65, Medicare also covered my heart stints. Medicare plus your suplement insurance should cover nearly 100%. I actually did receive a bill for $250, but I appealed and they put it back in the "mill", & have not heard any more for about two months. But I have never heard of Social Security itself covering anything, however. Don't know about disability.

Yes Social Security (Medicare) after age 65+ will pay fully for a variety of medical needs involving PCa. What we were talking about
is "Social Security Disability payments". This is the payment prior to age 65 (sometimes 63+) of regular social security income. This requires the difficult "proof" that you are partially or fully disabled. That means unable to work at a job due to your physical problems. I was able to collect full disability benefits starting at age 58. It requires a very high proof of disability, that as far as I know does not include recovery from prostate cancer. I would rather have gone to work every day.
