Tony, thanks for your response and comments. Yes, I did fax a letter to AMS-----no reply to date and placed them on formal notice that I was looking to AMS to step up as a responsible corporation and stand behind their product and cover all expenses associated as a result of their products failure. In doing research on the Internet I found and article put out by a group of Dr.'s that that provided me with a new insight regarding the complexity and seriousness of the initial implant surgery and revision surgeries which become even more complex and very serious. I understand now where I reside why there are only a handful of available surgeons that are willing to do these implants I talked to a number of lawyers and they were not interested. Not enough money and a $25,000.00 retainer was required. The article by this group of Dr.'s made it appear that the average life or market life of an implant is 5 years same number of years as the warranty and any implant of this age should be replaced. The surgeon on my first implant gave me a 10-15 year period and stated when I asked how will this implant compare to my normal erection he stated 99% to normal. I was devastated and highly depressed after my surgery to discover the true reality. Dr.'s and the Manf. in this case AMS use and hide behind the legal doctrine of "informed consent"
